Here at The Village Doula, I believe that building a community around my clients is what makes all the difference. We become family. Holistically minded and spirit led, you can rest assured that you will feel fully supported, educated, and cared for. You become part of a Village! I offer a wide range of services and resources to my families. I specialize in caring for others and helping them thrive within themselves, pregnancy, birth, postpartum, breastfeeding, and parenthood. I work along side many other practitioners that offer even more beneficial services in addition to my foundational offerings.
I am so glad you're here.
Entering into birth work was a pinnacle moment in my life.
As a Christian woman, with a long testimony, I truly felt led into this work by the Lord's hands.
My experiences bringing my own children into the world had its own challenges and lessons but it wasn’t until I experienced pregnancy and birth from an outside perspective that ignited the passion that I have for my work as a Doula. My story is diverse and my background is very blended. As a mixed raced woman, fascinated by culture, I feel so blessed to be able to connect with so many different families from different walks of life. To meet them where they’re at and enlighten them with knowledge and choices.
As I have navigated the birth world throughout my career, my views and knowledge have grown exponentially. My understanding of the female body, its capabilities, and the incredible gift childbirth truly is, has only continued to propel me to further dedicate myself to serving families in this very special way.
I became a doula in 2018 after the life changing experience I had coming alongside a close friend as she welcomed her son into the world. The Village Doula was a vision that the Lord planted in me and I had never felt more confidence free-falling into an adventure as I did with this practice. I believe that birth belongs to women. I believe that father’s play a vital role in the birth space and deserve to be as included in that experience as possible. I believe in giving authority back to people over their own bodies and empowering them to lead the way in their births. I finished certification through the International Doula Institute as a Birth Doula, Postpartum Doula and Breastfeeding Counselor. In 2019, I founded The Village Doula, while also interning at The Minnesota Birth Center. Throughout that same year, I worked under another incredible Doula and Mentor, Jennifer Koenig, Sacred Space Birth Services. As my career grew, I sought further training in Massage Therapy, SpinningBabies, Aromatherapy, Childbirth Education, and hope to continue to grow my expertise further with CranialSacral Therapy.
I am a mother of 4 beautiful children; 3 daughters and 1 son. We currently live in Lino Lakes, MN and we homeschool. I love to spend time with the Lord, in nature, cooking/baking, watching movies, listening to music, and hosting gatherings with the people I hold dear.
